ShoulderMaxx ("we", "our", or "us") is operated by ShoulderMaxx. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the ShoulderMaxx mobile application.

By using ShoulderMaxx, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use ShoulderMaxx:

• Photos: When you use the shoulder scan feature, your photo is sent to our AI analysis service to generate your shoulder scores. Photos are not stored on our servers and are deleted immediately after analysis.
• Profile information: Information you provide during onboarding including age, height, weight, training frequency, and fitness goals.
• Scan results: Your shoulder analysis scores, frame tier, and workout recommendations are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage.
• Usage data: We collect anonymised analytics data to understand how users interact with the app and improve our service.
• Purchase information: If you subscribe, payment is processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not store your payment details. Subscription management is handled by RevenueCat.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide AI-powered shoulder analysis and personalised workout plans
• Personalise your experience based on your fitness profile
• Process and manage your subscription
• Improve the accuracy and performance of our AI analysis
• Send you relevant notifications about your training (if enabled)
• Respond to support requests

3. Photo Data

Your privacy is important to us, especially regarding photos. Here is exactly how your photos are handled:

• Photos are sent securely over HTTPS to our AI analysis service (Anthropic Claude API)
• Photos are analysed in real time and are not stored on our servers
• Photos are deleted from the API immediately after analysis is complete
• Your scan photo is stored locally on your device only for progress tracking purposes
• We do not share your photos with any third parties beyond what is necessary for the AI analysis

4. Data Storage

Most of your data is stored locally on your device and never leaves your phone. This includes:

• Your fitness profile and onboarding answers
• Your scan results and scores
• Your workout history
• Your progress photos

If you delete the app, all locally stored data is permanently deleted from your device.

5. Third-Party Services

ShoulderMaxx uses the following third-party services:

• Anthropic Claude API: Powers our AI shoulder analysis. Photos are sent to this service for analysis only. Anthropic Privacy Policy

• Apple App Store: Handles all payment processing for subscriptions.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We only share data with the third-party services listed above, and only to the extent necessary to provide our service.

7. Children's Privacy

ShoulderMaxx is not intended for users under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 16, please contact us immediately.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Deletion: Request deletion of your data. Since most data is stored locally, you can delete it by uninstalling the app. For any server-side data, contact us at shouldermaxx@gmail.com
• Correction: Update your profile information within the app at any time
• Opt-out: Disable analytics and notifications in the app settings

9. Security

We take the security of your data seriously. All data transmitted between the app and our services is encrypted using HTTPS. We follow industry best practices to protect your information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of ShoulderMaxx after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
